Peppermint Patty is so cool. In the strip, anytime she's one on one with "Chuck", it's guaranteed to be funny.

Did she ever realize Snoopy was a beagle and not a funny looking kid?

PP is my most favorite Peanuts character, especially since she was one of the few kids who was nice to Charlie Brown.

I love Peppermint Patty too. But after reading the article, it struck me more about BEING YOURSELF and learning to be fine with that. The feminist undertones were there to be sure, but they were stated in a clever way; when coming from a “child’s voice” they come across less confrontational. It’s hard to dismiss a child’s poignant thoughts.

Thank you for this thread. I forgot how utterly clever and endearing Peanuts can be, and it was nice to get a reminder.
