View Full Version : Any summer plans?
tlc38tlc38 05-21-2019, 08:47 PM I don’t really have the money but I’m making plans and saving every dime I can so I can take a trip to Dollywood. I’ll be visiting Dollywood on August 3 and staying the night in a nearby hotel then getting up the next morning and coming home. I only live 3 hours away; it’s not that far but it’s a long trip when you’re by yourself.
Can’t wait to visit the new 6-acre section of the park and see the nightly summer fireworks!! I can almost taste that delicious world-famous cinnamon bread now!
Anybody else got summer plans?

She’s there a few times a year but she’s said before she won’t ride the rides because she’ll lose her wig.
Bonniegirl 05-22-2019, 05:34 PM A certain actor turned director with the initials ML has invited me to spend the summer with him at his beach house in Malibu !!:eyes::D
MrCleveland 05-22-2019, 06:32 PM I don't have much, just trying to form "The Summer I'll Never Forget 2019".
As long as I go to Milan, Ohio on Labor Day Weekend for The Melon Fest as well as other events...then I had a good summer.
Going to Maine for two weeks again this year.
Still catching up on medical bills, so no big plans for the summer. We may go camping a couple of weekends if I can get a weekend or two off.

Camping sounds like fun. I hope you end up having a great time if you do end up going.

I am thinking about heading out to Las Vegas in July; there is a show that I would like to attend there; as for shows, way too many to list, but the one concert that I would really like to see is Ringo Starr, who is performing in LA on September 1st.

This film looks beautiful!! When I first saw the trailer in the theater I started crying! It is rare though, we need to catch it while we can, being it's only at a select few theaters ! ;)

Echo In The Canyon sounds very interesting, looking forward to checking out the film. IF I do decide to see Ringo this September, I am definitely going to explore Laurel Canyon beforehand. A part of LA I have never been to before.

Oh WOW!!! OK I just saw this today !! :)I will review this half here and half on the Movie thread!!! It was really good!! Not to reveal too much but it was pretty much narrated by Bob Dylan's Son, Jakob, who is ADORABLE at almost 50 years old (born in Dec. of 1969 ) He looks SO MUCH like his Dad Bob!!:) Anyhow yeah it was really cool. Lots of interviews between Jakob and lots of the old legends like David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Michelle Phillips, John Sebastian, Eric Clapton, Ringo Star, Jackson Browne, Brian Wilson and more !;) And old film clips of them and their bands performing and just seeing the contrast, them back in the day and now as Senior citizens (where does the time go?):eek: and just a really cool vibe! :cool:And the best part of all besides the music was (Spoiler alert) the really cool, funny stories they were telling of "back in the day" when they were all friends living near each other in Laurel Canyon and playing music, getting high!!! :):lol:
This was a REALLY GOOD film. Very cool, uplifting yet very sentimental and emotional as well! :)I was glad I had some extra popcorn napkins because I cried a few times! And than again laughed a lot of times too, some of the stories were really funny !:D A really good fun, sentimental, musical, trip!!! :)
And Jakob Dylan is AWESOME!! And he can SING!!! ;)He and a few other people were doing really cool covers of the old songs of the old legendary people from Laurel Canyon who were featured!! ;)
OH Nuts! 06-01-2019, 01:18 AM Pretty much going to stay in NYC. Maybe visit some friends in Long Island during August.
