I was watching a couple episodes on ME TV and they didn't have a laugh track and hardly any music. Did CBS film a couple episodes this way as an experiment or something?

My guess is they're an error in DVD production, where they used the wrong audio track (before the laugh track was added). In those cases MeTV should probably have used the syndicated episode. In a Marcus Welby episode on DVD one time I remember him answering a phone that didn't ring. Oops! When you see one of these you could send MeTV a comment. Antenna TV is very responsive to comments, but MeTV, no so much. HelloLarry 10-25-2019, 03:29 PM MeTV uses the same DVD set that I have to air the shows? If that is the case, there isn't a single episode on my DVDs that doesn't have a laugh track. What you say is interesting. I remember when I was a kid watching the Three Stooges, sometimes there was a sequence that didn't have the sound effects on one station yet had the sound effects in that same sequence on another station. Also..there were little snippets (hardly worth a mention) of dialog removed from some shorts yet they would be in there when the same short would air on a different station. Not sure why but it was always something that stuck with me. treky 10-26-2019, 03:02 AM MeTV uses commercial DVDs as sources. (although; I read somewhere that if they did there'd be an awkward pause between the jokes and funny scenes) HelloLarry 10-27-2019, 02:58 PM no thanx; I like seeing it without the laugh track-I wish they'd make more shows without it.
