So we're reaching the first anniversary of the season 10 cancellation. So right after the tweeting scandal, ABC and all the streaming platforms took off the season 10 episodes. I know why they did it obviously, because they don't want Roseanne profiting off of it, but it's kind of silly if you think about it, because I think the fans would still support it and buy it. After all, it was a ratings juggernaut when it was on and I think people wouldn't boycott buying it because of the scandal. Many people loved it for the season that it was, and not for the scandal that eventually emerged out of it.
Do you think the calm after the storm will arrive soon and ABC/Disney/Buena Vista, Anchor Bay or Mill Creek Entertainment will ever release these episodes on DVD and Blu-Ray, or are they destined to be in the vault forever because of the tweeting scandal?
I think it's very puritanical and stubborn for them to not release them. For me still, the scandal is separate from the art of this show, and I don't see why they can't release them. Roseanne is still getting money for seasons 1-9, so it seems kind of hypocritical for them to not release season 10.
What are your thoughts on season 10 being commercially available for home video?
