Wonder why some episodes delete the first scene and others show the opening scene. In Wally’s Pug Nose we see Beaver running into the room calling Wally who’s in the bathroom. The opening scene is in the living room Ward helping Beaver with spelling and Tooey calls. Ward sends Beaver to tell Wally.
In A Horse Named Nick they show us the opening scene with Ward coming home and June saying the boys went looking for a job at the carnival. She hopes they don’t get one and Ward talks about the thrill of working at a carnival. Usually the episode begins with the boys running through the kitchen saying they got a job.
In Beaver’s Poem it always starts with June and Ward in the kitchen deciding to go to the movies. The opening scene shows Wally doing homework and Beaver pretending to shoot a gun with sound effects. He decides to go down and ask Ward to help with a poem. I guess it’s all up to the time frame and ads.
