I was wondering if there's any connection between Georgette and Georgia Engel's names being so similar. Did the producers do this on purpose (give the character a name similar to the actress's) or was the whole thing just a coincidence?

No clue. I've always wondered that myself. Also, was Ted really named Ted before Ted (Knight) came along...if that sentence made any sense...?
