Not brought up as much during the second season retool as Making a Living (where Louise Lasser replaced both Susan Sullivan and Wendy Schaal) was the fact that Earl Boen replaced Bert Remsen as the head chief. Boen would of course be replaced by Richard Stahl's Howard when It's a Living was brought back in 1985.

I'm not sure why Bert Remsen left but I actually thought Earl Boen's character was better. Dennis was very droll and worked better for the comedy, whereas Mario was more like a sounding board or father figure for the ladies.
