In 1982 CBS launched Capitol a soap opera set in Washington D.C. that featured a fictional president and his first lady as they were experiencing the hardships and lifestyles of The White House and was a popular soap opera for many years though it was a slow starter at first on CBS. When Capitol was cancelled in 1987 to make room for the debut of The Bold And The Beautiful many Capitol fans were shocked to see it go but it's one of CBS's most underrated soap operas and is worthy of watching
