I was watching some reruns of Undercover Boss on CNBC and I've noticed that the show has lost it's luster and I think that's why you don't see it much on CBS? Is it because Undercover Boss was trying to attract a new audience to the show or is it because CBS hoped to make Undercover Boss a huge hit by making it different each time? Take for instance when it first began Undercover Boss showed people at different jobs such as Orkin Pest Control Taco Bell Choice Hotels and many more but if you watch Undercover Boss you never see them work undercover at Marriott Hotels Wendy's Target Dollar General Benjamin Moore Paints Ace Hardware or Disney Parks and on Undercover Boss there should be more variety of places for them to work undercover at. Another thing I noticed about Undercover Boss is that every single employee the person who goes undercover works for always ALWAYS has a story that makes them cry and I find that annoying. Take for example an employee will tell the undercover boss a story like "I have gone through an especially hard time because my mother/father had cancer and now has passed away and I don't know why to do" or "My daughter/son wants to go to Disneyland and we can't because we can't afford it" And then the employee ends the story by having a crying fit each time and to me Undercover Boss should let the employees have a happy story and not burst into tears. A second thing that CBS started to do with Undercover Boss is have celebrity episodes of the show by having stars such as Idina Menzel appear and I cannot see how this improved the ratings of Undercover Boss. If CBS were to improve Undercover Boss they should have more happy stories and less sad stories
