Actually right now, i don't have a room mate. But i've been saving money since i was 13 so i could move out when i was 18... so i think i'll be OK the first few months, but if I need a roomate, hopefully it won't be too hard to find one!
Thanks everyone... nad yes, drinks (hell to the koolaid! jk!) all around!
Jinny Girl 06-13-2002, 08:33 PM Ive been saving money to move out since my 12th bday... i just recently figured out what I was gonna use it for tho... as of now ive got 1,000 something... i need more money.
Mucho congrats, Amanda! I hope you get a nice, 'cheap in price but not in quality' place of your own. ENJOY your freedom:D

 Oh...*snickers* I get so caught up with my internet life that I'm having trouble distinguishing between the two. Oh well, that's why I'm "certifiably insane"
...I'm gonna head to my hole where everything is real and just retire my mind for the next 8 hours...not like it does much when I'm awake, but I hear the rest is supposed to do it good...

Mijada 06-14-2002, 08:49 PM I can't understand why so many of you are so gung ho on moving out the second you turn 18. I applaud you guys for wanting to be independant and everything but is your life at home really that bad? Living with my mother was far from perfect but had I not stayed at home till I was 23 I would never have been able to save enough money to go to college or buy a home and a car and I would probably right now be living in some apartment paying twice as much for rent as I do for my mortgage. The point I'm trying to make is it is very expensive living on your own. Rent on a decent apartment is outrageous and alot of these landlords don't hesitate on jacking up the rent anytime they want to and you cannot always depend on roomates or boyfriends to be there to help you. I wish you guys lots of luck and just be careful not to get yourselves in a financial rut you can't get out of. I've seen it happen to a lot of people.

Oh my home life is soooooo bad, Amanda you can't even begin to imagine how bad I have it. You probably don't think so, but seriously, I have it that bad. But i have only 13 more months until I get to college and then I'm going to live it up! :D
