View Full Version : Golden Girls Action Figures on Ebay... StrudelBone 06-13-2002, 02:05 PM These look nothing like the girls at all.... 80sTrivia 06-13-2002, 03:13 PM Ewwww.... those figurines are ugly! And when did Rose ever dress up in Cher's bellbottoms!!! (Dorothy did once, when she and Sophia went to the beauty contest as Sonny and Cher...) ;) FOLrocks1 06-13-2002, 04:13 PM AHH! Blanche looks like she's melting, Dorothy looks like a cow (fat), Rose looks like she's storing nuts in her cheeks for the winter, and Sophia's glasses are just HUGE! 80sTrivia 06-13-2002, 05:32 PM Originally posted by FOLrocks1 AHH! I agree with your assessment of the figures completely, FOL! I wouldn't bid a penny for any of them! RueMcClanahanFan 06-14-2002, 01:50 AM Ewwwwwww, those are revolting. I saw them on eBay a couple days ago but I couldn't actually see what they looked like, as the photo supplied of the packages, from a bit of a distance. What's pitiful is that all 4 figurines had at least 1 bid each. That was within hours of being listed; I can't imagine what the poor people who win them will think when their surprise arrives... It will be interesting, to say the least, to see what they end up going for. -Katie jayman75 06-14-2002, 12:48 PM I just wonder if it is someone on this board...???:lookaroun :dizzy: :stupid: 80sTrivia 06-14-2002, 03:17 PM Originally posted by jayman75 I just wonder if it is someone on this board...???:lookaroun :dizzy: :stupid: You didn't make them, did you Jayman? ;) Seriously, I hope the person who made them doesn't frequent here as I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... rothscr 06-14-2002, 03:23 PM Looking at this was the best laugh I had all day. Why would anyone buy these. Sophia reminds me of an Ewok and Rose looks like shes from Saturday Night Fever. Blanche doesn't look like Blance. The only one that looks remtly like any of the girls is Dorothy, but only the face. EWWW YUCK BARF HAHAHAHA:lol: Czas na Zywiec 06-14-2002, 08:51 PM Sophia's pearls look like something you'd see on Wilma Flinstone. And her glasses look to big for her face, kinda like the Steve Urkel look. :rotflmao: jayman75 06-14-2002, 10:11 PM Originally posted by 80sTrivia You didn't make them, did you Jayman? ;) Seriously, I hope the person who made them doesn't frequent here as I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Hells no I didn't make them or bid on them. If they resembled the actors a bit more, I think it would be cool to have. I admire the worker. I mean, I certainly couldn't do anything that good. However, those aren't really comparable to the characters. So, I won't say I'd never buy the figures... but not *those* figures. FOLrocks1 06-14-2002, 10:24 PM LOL. You should see the ones on the FOL board! jayman75 06-15-2002, 12:14 AM LOL. You should see the ones on the FOL board! I HAVE!!!! 80sTrivia 06-17-2002, 08:25 AM Originally posted by jayman75 If they resembled the actors a bit more, I think it would be cool to have. I admire the worker. I don't have any artistic talent in that department either, so I'm sure any figures I would fashion would more than likely resemble Quasi Modo or something, so I guess I shouldn't criticize!!! jayman75 06-18-2002, 09:21 PM So, does anyone know how much they finally went for? And, was it the same buyer for both TGG and TFOL?? FOLrocks1 06-19-2002, 01:09 PM I don't know the final price. (If there was someone who could to a really good job, I'd like to see one of Three's Company pe put up! RueMcClanahanFan 06-19-2002, 02:58 PM I looked them up on eBay the other day. Go to search>completed items. I honestly don't remember what they went for, but I think one was something like $36. One might have been in the $40's but I'm not sure. -Katie 80sTrivia 06-19-2002, 08:53 PM That's quite a bit of money considering the craftmanship! :) jayman75 07-08-2002, 01:37 PM Do we know who bought them?? jayman75 09-25-2002, 12:27 AM Did we ever figure out the winner?? Georgia's on my Mind 09-26-2002, 05:23 PM Winner: RobMTV79 Blanche: $38.00 Sophia: $38.00 Rose: $61.00 Dorothy: $38.00 I won the Blair one...It's pretty cool... Sophia's Wrinkles 09-26-2002, 07:25 PM :livid: How dare you!
