I think Beaver needs to go. He's been on for a good little while. Gunsmoke been on since 1996. I think they should throw Beaver to Goodlife. Gunsmoke should go to Hallmark. Andy could go to Goodlife. The Brady Bunch (Seasons 3-5) can go.......let's just say "down under."

Why do y'all want Mary Hartman off of TVLand? Y'all probably never even saw the show! And LucyFan, a lot of the shows on TVLand right now haven't been seen in years! I understand that some of the shows on your TVLand-should-add list are rare but they should just squeeze them in instead of dumping other shows for them. If NAN and TVLand was like how I want them to be I bet they'd be great. You can't have every single show on the channel be black and white. They need to mix. Some shows from the 50s some from the 60s some from the 70s and some from the 80s. And I don't care about the number of shows on the network. Since when do people care if they have too much shows on the one network? I think the more the better!

They should keep Beaver, I like just about all the shows but if they ever got rid of LITB I seriously would never watch the network again. Lucy, GI, Brady Bunch, they have alot of good shows. I've seen Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and I don't hate it I just think it's kind of... well... I really wouldn't mind if they leave it on late. It's okay, they should keep the network as it is now and leave it there. But I'd rather have Mary Hartman on at the time when The Waltons is on, it's a good time and it's aaaallllloooott better than The Waltons.

I think N@N should be kept as a place for more modern sitcoms like from the 80's/90's, while TVLand can be used for the classics from the 50's and beyond. With that said:

Let me explain #4 more closely. The first three shows has been on every channel imaginable. I'm tired of the Brady's and Gilligan because of the fact it has been on so many stations. The same with Lucy. I just feel they could dump the more viewable shows that has been syndicated since the show went off the air. Instead show other shows that are popular, but don't get shown too often. You get what I'm saying?

I don't really watch Nick at Nite, so I'll just say the shows TV Land should add are Here's Lucy, Three's Company, Bob Newhart, Family Affair, Nanny and the Professor, Mr. Ed, My Mother the Car, Three's a Crowd, Fantasy Island, Green Acres, and other shows from the 50's and 60's that I'm probably forgetting. And that would be great if they started showing Dallas and Dynasty too.

TV Land should definitely DUMP Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. This is the worst show I've EVER SEEN!! I think they should also get rid of The Flying Nun, Barney Miller, The Rookies, Fernwood Tonight, the Monkees, and Batman.

And it would be really nice if they put Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore in better time slots, when people are actually awake.

ITA Jeannie and Dallas! 100%! Dallas NEEDS to come back. I still can't believe SoapNet hasn't bought the rights to this, or even Dynasty, they air the spinoffs (Knots Landing & The Colbys) sheesh. But I think the reasons for this is because (I'm not 100% sure) TNN probably still owns the rights to "Dallas" and FX probably still owns the rights to "Dynasty" but both networks have stopped airing it. You would think the networks would air the programs they have rights too until the contract, or whatever, ends! LOL.

Sitcomwriter, that whole post of yours was just plan stupid. I mean TVLand will never air Will & Grace until at least......2015. None of the most current stuff don't belong on TVLand. I think NAN should stick with 80s shows and let TVLand do 50s-70s. And I consider Laverne & Shirley and TC to be for everyone. TV Land should add Trapper John MD, Fantasy Island and TJ Hooker. I also wish TV Land would bring Adam-12 back. As far as what shows should be dumped from TV Land--I'm not sure. There's lots of shows on TV land that I don't watch, but I can't think of what they are.
Nick could drop Cheers and I wouldn't mind, since I've never been a fan of that show...

I think TNN had slowly been changing it's format for the past few years. I first saw Alice and thought, "Hey, wow, this fits into the network's genre," but then when I saw TV Bloopers & Practical Jokes I knew something had to be up. Then I read that on a message board somewhere that TNN was chaanging it's format but couldn't find any details as to why. My main thought was maybe because it couldn't compete with the newer country music channels (Country Music Television and Great American Country), or maybe it was bought by another company. I've always been really curious as to what made TNN change it's format and name.

I read somewhere that TV Land bought the Love Boat I Package (The 1977-1982 episodes). They did not buy the seperate "The Love Boat II" (1982-1984) package. I don't see why the people who put it into reruns (Paramount I think) seperated the first five seasons from the last four seasons)

ClassicTV4ever, the reason TNN changed it's format is because Viacom bought it at the time. Viacom had the channel change it's image.

Sitcomwriter, I respectfully disagree with your wishes. Will & Grace, in my opinion, is simply tasteless. In fact the only current sitcoms(again in my own opinion, I don't hate anyone for having personal tastes) that deserve to be on N@N or TVL are Frasier and Becker.

But, then again, :rolleyes: Roseanne is coming to N@N in 2003. Well, maybe by then, Facts of Life will be on N@N and everyone will be so happy and forget it. :D

I don't get what people have against Roseanne. I will however be the first to say that it DOESN'T belong on N@N. But it IS a very funny show. Well....the middle years were the funniest. Seasons 2-6 were some of the most clever and funniest episodes out of ANY television series. I think most people just can't stand to look at Roseanne or hear her voice. Which is understandable, because I can barely stomach 3 minutes of The Nanny.
