Here I've been watching Adv. of Superman since I was a kid but today was the first time I ever noticed one thing concerning LITB and the other concerning a tech. effect defect. Saturdays is my Superman and classic cartoons day, today was a treat.

OK, first the LITB related NEWS, yes, news, if you will pull out your copy of Adv. of Superman episode 2.5, "Shot In the Dark" if you will then go (assuming you're looking at the commercial disc version) to around the 17 minute point you will see Kent and Insp. Henderson looking at a mug shot book. Next to the photo of the criminal of the day for this episode, John Eldridge, is another mug shot picture of, wait for it, get ready, hold on to your hats ----- HUGH BEAUMONT!!! Yes, after all these years I discover that Hugh Beaumont made not just the one appearance in Superman ep. 2.2 "Big Squeeze" where he's really featured, but there he is back in the can in a mug shot book in epis. 2.5 "Shot In The Dark"!

Well, that was exciting for me anyway. Now the other first time ever noticed by me for Superman, also in this epis. 2.5 there is a neat shot of Superman flying where he's shot in mid air from the front and sort of floating around. Today was the very first time I actually noticed the wires that held George Reeves in the air, they even interfered with his cape blowing in the wind, they caught on the wire a couple of times. Never before have I ever seen the wires that held the one and only REAL Superman, George Reeves. I guess it's because nowadays with DVDs being so sharp and clear you see every little detail, as opposed to the good old days watching them on broadcast TV the picture was never as clear and sharp as it is now on DVD. I guess sometimes it's good not to see a picture so clearly.;)

It;'s a sharing arrangement. Then Phyllis Coates does an LITB (S1Ep05).

Oops! By then we were into the Noel Neill years.
