Eddie was not a bad kid in this one. Sure he made up about Carolyn being his girl (she was a nice girl--they should have kept her as a regular--same with her mom), but that was pretty harmless, especially compared with things like changing Beaver's report card.

And, sure, he called Beaver squirt, but in other scenes he either ignored Beaver, or was actually halfway decent to him. I really like the scene in the garage, where he admitted to Beaver he made up about Carolyn being his girl.

And good ol' June, butting in again. Wally really let her have it. I also enjoyed that scene.

All in all, an A+ episode.

I liked the episode too and my favorite Eddie line. “No she goes to boarding school. My father says that’s a good indication her family has money. No use hanging around with people who don’t count.” Mr. Haskell (Karl Swenson) didn’t seem like the type of person always putting people down.

Love when Carolyn says “Oh Mother!” When she mentions going to the dance with Eddie.

Eddie: “No she goes to boarding school. My father says that’s a good indication her family has money. No use hanging around with people who don’t count.”

Yep and June's reply (approximate): Yes, well, thanks for coming over, anyway, Eddie.

Eddie didn't get the joke.

Allowing Eddie to be a bit more sentimental more often would have helped his character development, one gets tired of the same ol same ol constant sarcasm thing ... It would have helped the reason why Wally was his friend +-

This was a cute episode and I felt kind of bad for him. I mean, I think he really liked Carolyn and then for her to fall for Wally...
