I purchased this mostly unknown album as a blind buy from a local record store back in 1978, I assumed I was buying a hard rock album but was shocked when playing it for the first time that I had purchased a funky disco album. I'm normally not a fan of funk/disco, but the songs on this album are amazingly good, this is an example that blind buys do pay off sometimes. I still have this album in my collection and give it a spin once in a while.

So put on your disco clothes and disco dancing shoes, groove to this album and take a trip back to 1978. The only thing is, the songs in this You Tube video are not in the correct order, they are NOT in the order as presented on the vinyl LP. But all the songs are there and all of them are awesome. :)

This album might have done a little better and been a little more successful if it was released in 1975, to me the songs definitely have a 1975 vibe to them. As it is, the album was recorded in 1977 and released in 1978, a few years too late. But it's still a good album, the one song I could do without is "Superslick", I don't care for that tune all that much but the other eight songs are good.

If I was at a party in 1978 or 2019 this would help make it a good fun time.

Yes, the songs on this album are good time music, good party music. :)

It appears that the link I previously posted for this album is no longer active so here's a new link and this one has the songs in the correct order as on the original vinyl LP.

Superslick is the one track on the album I don't care for all that much but the other tracks are good, and the album closes on a strong note with the catchy, upbeat track Boogie Uptown.
