If you had to choose one version of Saved by the Bell, which do you prefer, Good Morning, Miss Bliss or the Tori episodes of Season 4? GMMB was arguably more understated and far more subtle than any SBTB incarnation. The Tori episodes meanwhile, had a weird mix of the stars not trying as hard or becoming caricatures of themselves.

Because I know them better, I pick the Tori episodes.

I'd go with Good Morning, Miss Bliss out of the two. It felt more wholesome and warming. As where the Tori episodes of season 4 just feel real random to me. It's the weird season that just felt like the writers didn't know what to do. That's just my take on season 4.

I wonder how much Kelly and Jessie's absence were felt in the "Tori episodes". Kelly and Jessie if you ask me, were sort of the collective moral centers of the gang. Kelly was the nice, wholesome, down-to-earth "girl next door" type while Jessie would be fast to call Zack and/or Slater out for their sometimes chauvinistic attitudes.

Kelly was the nice, wholesome, down-to-earth "girl next door" type while Jessie would be fast to call Zack and/or Slater out for their sometimes chauvinistic attitudes.

Both actresses, who played both Kelly and Jessie, made a correct move committed to other projects while being substituted by an actress, who played Tori. That led those two actresses not to appear in any of the horrible new class episodes in order not to suffer a single divorce in each of their own real-lives, TBH, IMO.
