Sounds like a great idea to me, Ben. ;) Lynn-Marie will finally have somewhere to post about "Cats" and I'll finally be able to reveal the name, "Jennyanydots," lol. Dr. Lilith Sternin 06-12-2002, 04:18 PM Oh, that would be great, seeing as I'm the biggest musical theatre freak around. He's right, many sitcom stars have been on Broadway. Bebe alone is enough reason to make a Broadway message board... haha. :) ~B Beruche 06-12-2002, 04:31 PM Originally posted by Jo's the bomb Lynn-Marie will finally have somewhere to post about "Cats" and I'll finally be able to reveal the name, "Jennyanydots," lol. I think a Broadway message board would be grand. Not only that but it will give everyone who I gave a cat name a chance to reveal it right Jennyanydots? :D Warm & Fuzzy 06-13-2002, 08:06 PM Originally posted by Demi Lynn Winters Not only that but it will give everyone who I gave a cat name a chance to reveal it right Jennyanydots? :D Yes, Demi. :) callmetootie 10-06-2002, 01:57 PM As a New Yorker who sees 2 Broadway shows a week...I urge TJ to add a Broadway message board here. Two Broadway shows every week?  WOW! The last B. show I saw was Cats, and that was on Jan. 13th, 1999, lol. callmetootie 10-07-2002, 08:40 AM LOL. I never cared for Cats...only saw it twice. I'm willing to bet I've seen almost every Broadway show that's been out since 1995...because I started at that young. My father woudl take me, and that's where I became friends with so many celebrities. Blythe Danner! Betty Garrett! Matthew Broderick! Katie Finnerian! Lily Tomlin! Bebe Neuwirth! Michael C Hall! Faith Prince! John Lithgow! Christine Ebersole! Michele Lee! Patti Lupone! Peter Gallagher! Nathan Lane! Joanna Gleason! I could go and on and on with the celebrities that I meet in a given day! I usually see a minimum of 1 star a day!!! There was even one time where I ate lunch with Betty Garrett! I may sound like a show-off, but I'm a lucky boy! I remember seeing John Ritter like about 10 times from a distance while he was in NY with Henry Winkler in The Dinner Party, and I was soooooooo nervous around him. I've only seen one broadway show in my life: Cats, and that was on a school trip! Then there were other trips to "The Nutcracker" and "The Rockettes," but they werent actually broadway-broadway- shows, if you know what I mean. But man, you ARE a lucky boy. BTW, Only seeing it twice is a bunch. ;) callmetootie 10-20-2002, 07:07 PM I see so many shows because of a nice allowance. $50 a month for allowance, and $1,000 put a year towards a fund for which I can take out of for various reasons. That has built to over $12,000...that's a lot of Broadway shows!!! I never knew... callmetootie 10-25-2002, 07:43 AM Orchestra Seats are $75-100. Mezz seats are $75-45. Balcony Seats are $55-10. Warm & Fuzzy 10-26-2002, 02:03 AM Here's something else I don't get that maybe you can answer for me, Andrew... Where in the world do you pay? lol. I know there's some kind of ticket booth between Duffy and Broadway(?) Is that where all the tickets are sold? Or do you have to go into the theater and purchase the tickets there? callmetootie 10-26-2002, 10:01 AM The TKTS line in Duffy Square is when you wait in line for about 1-2 hours for 25-50% off discount tickets. I usually just pay at the box office with my dad...we pay for our own tickets. I'm thinking of seeing one with my brother this year.. do you need adult supervision to purchase one? Any recommendations? |
