Anyone??

The only time Perfect Strangers has aired anywhere since I got cable in 2006 was a very brief run on ION. This was when they had other sitcoms like Mama's Family, Who's the Boss, and The Wonder Years. But Perfect Strangers was pulled after just two weeks. It would be a good show to join the Antenna TV lineup with other 80s sitcoms they have like Head of the Class, Family Ties, Growing Pains, My Two Dads, and Silver Spoons.

I guess kinda like Family Ties the ratings aren't there in reruns though the ratings were quite good when it originally ran right?

While Family Ties hasn't done great in syndication compared to an evergreen like The Golden Girls, FT has aired on multiple channels through the years and gotten a lot more exposure than Perfect Strangers. As for their original runs, Family Ties made the top 5 three straight seasons and still made the top 20 the season after it was moved away from Thursdays. Perfect Strangers never made the top 30 in its 7 seasons. Ironically its spin-off Family Matters became more popular than the parent show.

I'm very surprised it hasn't garnered more support to air on MeTV or AntennaTV.

Wow! Never in the top 30?? But I remember Bronson Pinchot was a well known name in the 80s. He was really the star of the show. If it never broke the top 30 why wasn't it cancelled?

Family Matters a PS spinoff?? I guess I didn't see enough episodes of PS to know. What's the connection between the 2 shows??

The Jeffersons lived right next door to the Bunkers for years. They got a spinoff. Florence was the Jeffersons' maid for years. She got a spinoff.

What's the connection between the 2 shows??Perfect Strangers must have done well enough to keep getting renewed through season 7. While obviously networks would like their shows in the top 30, after the hits they have utility players that can survive awhile. Maybe more so back then when they tried on all 7 days, and Saturday wasn't the repeat and sports dumping ground it is today.

Sadly the brain trains of those in charge of the TV networks these days can only travel so far. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

The show is currently on HULU along with other TGIF staples like Family Matters and Step By Step.

To me, there is nothing like showing your loyalty and appreciation by actually purchasing your favorite TV shows, music, and movies. I couldn't be anymore happy that this entire show is now available on DVD. :) :) :)
