Jensen, Jared, and Misha announce last season in online video. (https://tvline.com/2019/03/22/supernatural-final-season-15-cancelled-cw/)
I can't believe it. I've been a fan of this show since day 1. I can't believe it's going to be ending. Personally, I think it was Jensen's decision from watching the video. Jared and Misha don't look fine during the announcement like Jensen does.
I hate that it will be ending too. I got invested in the Winchester brothers from the first time I watched the show. I will certainly miss them.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan congratulates Supernatural on "one hell of a run" (https://ew.com/tv/2019/03/26/supernatural-ending-jeffrey-dean-morgan-reaction/)
Morgan, who played Sam and Dean's father, tweeted of The CW series ending after 15 seasons: "I just want to say to all of @cw_spn family... that was one hell of a run. I hope this last year is enough time to wrap up a story that deserves only the best. My love to cast, crew and fans. @JensenAckles and @jarpad ya done us proud Xojd."
Sad to see this ending, but the cast felt that it was probably indeed time to end the show after all these years.

Good thing Supernatural had a very long run after 15 years on the air.
Good thing Supernatural had a very long run after 15 years on the air.
Almost 15 years, but next year it would've been 15 years to be exact. So it's actually 14.
Supernatural's final season was a "community decision" that was the result of years of discussion (https://www.tvguide.com/news/jensen-ackles-jared-padalecki-supernatural-ending)
"We wanted to communicate to you guys this was a community decision," Jared Padalecki said at a fan convention in Las Vegas. "The network and the studio did not say, 'Hey, guys, get outta here! You're done.'" Jensen Ackles added: "It wasn't an easy decision. It was months and months, if not years, of discussion between he (Padalecki) and I, between the rest of the cast, between the crew, between our writers, between our producers, between the studio, between the network. Nobody wanted to see this show fizzle out."
