As for help, Danny Thomas on Make room for Daddy had a helper ?? Isabel Randolph can't recall if that's the actresses name. , Andy Griffith had Aunt Bee. The Cartwrights of Bonanza had Hop Sing.

Yeah, for a couple of episodes. She was played by Geena Davis. Alex hired her himself. He had the hots for her. I can't remember if they dated or not.

I was so young when Maude was on originally I might have this somewhat wrong. But Maude and Arthur had a Mrs. Nogatog (I have no idea if that's the right spelling or not) as a maid. She was a somewhat older woman with a foreign accent (that I didn't recognize) but I don't remember now if they ever said where she was from or if the character's first name was ever mentioned. But like I said I was just a kid when that was on.

ETA: OK so after some research, the maid's name was Nell Naugatuck (not Nogatog, haha) and she was from England. I guess she didn't sound particularly British to me, I just remember thinking when I was a kid that the way she talked was funny and annoying LOL.
