I will get a message from a woman on a dating site and we chat back and forth for about 15 mins. We exchange about 9 messages and then she disappears So either it was a fake profile or someone who is attached and bored.

On this dating App called Bumble, I hate when a woman responds to me first and her messages back to me are every 24 hours lol I usually send my number after the 5th message but since it was saturday I had to pretend I was out and about so I never sent it.


I say all this to say.............I MISS CRAIGSLIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few years ago I had a profile on a dating site called Plenty Of Fish. One day I got a message from this woman, we started chatting and things seemed to be going along well, but then the "aha" moment came when she asked me to send her some money. You have to be careful with those dating sites, people are pulling so much BS these days. I'm a single guy and sometimes I think I'd like to have a girlfriend, but then when I give it more thought I figure I'm probably better off not being involved with anyone. :lol:

I'm just mad craigslist personals is gone because I have no other options to meet women. That's one of the main reasons I started gaining weight because I was eating more because I was bored and it ended up affecting my health. That didn't happen before 2018 because I had a woman calling me on the phone or was getting new responses to my CL ad. Now I am in recovery from being in the hospital and only have one woman to call who didn't answer the phone at 8pm this evening:lol: So now I am just up bored chatting online and trying to create some more options online so I can get another phone number. It's pretty sad sometimes when the text message of the day is from your mother lol

Well take care and good luck to you. As for me, the most likely way I would meet a woman is probably thru someone else. For example, if one of my neighbors who I'm friendly with wants to match me up with a nice, single woman they know of. If it happens, great, if not I won't worry about it.

Only issue with that is I would never want to date anyone who has a connection to my family because I don;t want them in my business. This girl last year sent me a friend request on FB because she worked at the same job as my mom and even though i was attracted to her I decided not to go any further

I agree with #6. There's too much anecdotal evidence that women request you to send them money shortly after any online engagement.
