On the one hand, you have these cold "Irish Goodbye" setups. On the other hand, you have these histrionic red herring setups.
Regardless of whether or not these folks were mentally stable, they took their own lives by walking into the "nothing". Although we can't be 100% sure about Meehan, one drive through Circle, MT will convince you that she has likely perished.

Huh, I never would of thought that but it's as good a theory as any.

I hesitate to include her because she was ultimately trying to evade authorities.

The unexplained deaths I used as examples seem to evoke despondent characteristics. Hugh Harlan may have killed his wife and felt guilty or just got sick of all the rumors and decided to leave them with one final thing to talk about.
