View Full Version : Decided to close my Macy's credit account because the store has nothing to offer
TVFactFan 03-12-2019, 06:40 PM I can't fit any of their shoes or pants because the store seems geared toward small and short people. Since I am a tall i struggle to find shirts at their stores because none of them have the length I need for someone my size. And all of their bed sheets are light colored which is not the ideal color for a man's bed. I prefer solid darker colors like navy blue or black not yellow, white, red, or sky blue.
The scissors are now out and I am about to chop up this card ASAP
OH Nuts! 03-12-2019, 09:48 PM Macy’s is so lame-as*. The sales people are the worst and the quality of their clothing has gone way down. I ripped their tired card up long long ago.

I was looking for a winter coat and asked for assistance and the girl said....."The men coats are over there"
I thought she was going to walk me over there to show me what they had
If you can’t buy it at JCPenney, you don’t need it.
ThisLittlePiggy 03-16-2019, 12:47 AM Macy's sucks.
Coffeecup 03-17-2019, 09:08 PM I remember when I was a child, every store department had customer assistant in the aisle. So much is self service and in my opinion 50% of the clothes I don't like, 30 % don't fit, so 20 % I am struggling to find something. And when I find something I like, I can't find what I like in another color. There is too much merchandise.
1960'sTVfan 03-17-2019, 09:56 PM Poor service/merchandise is one reason why many of the brick and mortar stores are closing. These days it's easier and better to shop on line, order what you want and have it sent to you. One of the few stores I visit now is the local grocery store to buy my weekly groceries. Sometimes I'll visit the hardware store or pharmacy if I need something there.

When it comes to shoes and clothes that usually is a problem because the shoes may not fit. I ordered shoes from Macys which was a size bigger and still couldn't fit the shoes lol
Atleast I didn't have to mail them back, I was able to take it to the store

It’s pretty easy to return clothes bought off of Amazon these days.

If it gets delivered to you via UPS, you can just print out the return label and tape it to the package it was shipped to you in, then drop it off in any UPS box or trusted site. I found dozens of UPS return slots near me.

Yes it's a gamble you take if ordering clothes or shoes on line because there's no guarantee they will fit, even if you order what you think is the right size. I've been lucky with the few times I've ordered clothes or shoes on line, everything has fit and I haven't had to return anything.

The boots I ordered from Macys was the right size but I never got to wear them because we didn't have that much snow in Philly this year

Well I guess you can look at it this way, at least you now have a new pair of boots in case next winter is snowier.

Yep, save them until you get a deep enough snowfall. Where I live in southern Indiana, it usually doesn't snow a whole lot but it can get damn cold that's for sure.
