Back when rap and hip-hop music was all the rage in the 90's Tide decided to jump on the rap music bandwagon by having a commercial that featured a family rapping about Tide and the commercial came out in 1991 and was a clever commercial. In fact the actor playing the father in the commercial was soap star Dondre Whitfield who was best known for playing the character Terrance on All My Children. It is amazing that rap music seemed to be popular for all commercials like this commercial in the 90's
