Hawkee 03-10-2019, 05:28 AM This may be hard to tell everyone on here but I didn't want anyone on here to worry about me as I go through this hard time,
For two months I have been suffering with a bad toothache caused by a broken tooth and yesterday I had to go to the dentist and on the 19th I'm gonna have a dental operation and then i'll be out of action for two weeks or more to recover. But please do not worry everybody once I am fully recovered I will return to post and keep up on sitcom happenings. I really will hope that you all can manage without me but please try to be brave and pray for me during this time
Bestie
P.S. Send me your get well wishes on my message page in my profile if you like
Good luck Bestie and I hope everything goes well.
80sTrivia 03-10-2019, 06:53 AM Ouch! Hard to imagine having a bad toothache for two months! I would have been in the dentist's chair an hour after the first painful throb! Wishing you a quick and pain-free recovery!!!
PhoenixAcres 03-10-2019, 05:13 PM Good luck Bestie
Penny Lane 03-10-2019, 08:37 PM I know what you're going through. Over the years I've had abscessed teeth and had to have several root canals. I don't think there is anything more painful than a toothache. I hope you recover soon Bestie!
OH Nuts! 03-10-2019, 11:36 PM Sending lots of good thoughts your way Bestie. Your name is no misnomer ....cause....you’re the best!!!
MISST3 03-11-2019, 12:25 AM Sorry to hear about your dental pain. Praying that your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery! Take Care!
AMackII 03-11-2019, 04:15 AM Bestie, Best of Luck to You, You’ll Be Back once your teeth is cured.
Hope everything works out well for you and the pain won't be too bad.
Hawkee 03-13-2019, 12:05 AM It appears that my dental operation has been moved to next Wednesday and then I still got to recover for two more weeks but I'll still come and read everyone's posts here because you guys are all like family to me

MrCleveland 03-13-2019, 08:54 AM I hope you feel better...I had to get my wisdom teeth removed, a molar removed since it rotted-out, and a root canal for two teeth....
DadTheKing 03-21-2019, 01:32 AM Hi, Bestie! I feel so bad for you! But I know you are brave and strong and will be back giving us all the trivia we can handle! Good luck Bestie! I will be preying for you.

Janice 03-22-2019, 01:48 PM I hope you're feeling well after your recent dental surgery.
Hawkee 03-23-2019, 12:29 AM My dental operation was a success but the only thing that stressed me out was having to get up early but they were able to see me early and by the time I was finished I was so tired I had to take a nap but then I had a Wendy's Frosty. The only thing I dislike is having to give up my weekend snacks for awhile and I have been living on a diet of soft foods but I do LOVE soups and I had some delicious beef soup today which tasted great that I loved a lot

IllinoisTVFan 03-23-2019, 12:35 AM Glad everything went well! I have had some brutal dental surgeries (one required me to be put under and required an ambulance, I was that bad), so I know how you feel. Take care and rest a lot!
Hawkee 03-27-2019, 04:49 AM I hope you're feeling well after your recent dental surgery.
Thank you for the sweet words Janice. The only thing that scares me is eating because I have huge pain in my lips and when I try to eat my mouth is sore. Now I'm very afraid of eating because yesterday I had an accident when trying to eat ice cream my lips were so sore my ice cream tumbled out of my mouth but I was able to eat ramen and macaroni and cheese with no trouble. When you had a toothache Janice what foods did you have to eat?
Bestie
I hope you're doing well after your recent dental surgery Bestie.
OH Nuts! 03-30-2019, 09:48 PM Hi Bestie! Glad you’re able to do soft foods, which can be tasty and loaded with calories, so you won’t lose a lot of weight. What does your dentist have to say about your eating experiences? How long does he want you to take it easy and stay on soft foods. Let us know how things keep going. Many are fond of you here.
Hawkee 03-31-2019, 01:36 AM Yesterday I went for my follow up dental exam and my dental surgeon says i'm doing well but I can't have any crunchy foods yet and I have to go easy on soda for awhile so most of the time I drink juices with my food. But the best thing is I had my first hamburger since my dental surgery and it tasted fabulous. But on the 11th of April I have another dental exam with my dentist. But the bad thing is having to give up fruit but I've grown to love Ensure shakes for breakfast

Hawkee 04-15-2019, 03:47 AM Last Thursday I had my dental exam with my dentist and I had some of my stitches removed but I still can't eat chips or popcorn yet but I am having a bit of trouble eating hamburgers because my mouth is still pretty sore but I can eat soft cheese and my lips still hurt sometimes but it looks like I will be better by next month

keep up the good work. Many soft foods are delicious and once your mouth fully heals, you’ll be able to add more. Keep us posted. God Bless.
Hawkee 10-18-2019, 04:31 AM Monday I had my dental visit and i'm happy to say it went very well but the dentist isn't gonna do anymore major work on my mouth until it fully heals because my gums still are sore but I go back in April next year for my next visit

OH Nuts! 10-18-2019, 08:29 AM Glad to hear you’re making progress. Just listen to your dentist and you’ll keep improving. Food restrictions can suck-but still- there are many delicious (and safe!) options out there.
I am sorry I came upon this thread late, otherwise I would have sent my prayers, too.
Glad you are doing well now, bestie.
Steve_uk 10-18-2019, 04:06 PM Good health bestie.
