We've already seen the 2005 movie, which admittedly had a very odd choice direction wise. And then there were reports of the Black-ish staff plotting an a reboot with an interracial twist, that has since fallen through.

One idea could be to focus on a teenage Tabitha as the lead character. It would still be Bewitched, but more from her perspective, kind of like Wizards of Waverly Place. You could have one of her classmates be a relative of Gladys Kratvitz, a niece or a nephew that has a similar dynamic with her like Gladys has with Sam. That could also bring back Charlie Leach as a main villain.

The one problem though with having a Tabitha centric show, is that there already was one, and we all know how well that one turned out (https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x20rc5n).

Just leave the original alone and don't remake Bewitched again. There have become way too many remakes, new shows today should have actual original ideas. I am glad the proposed remake from the Black-Ish producers fell through.

For me it would be a continuation of the original Bewitched, picking up 15 - 20 years in the future and focusing primarily on the Stephens' children, Tabitha and Adam, and their own adventures and mischief. It would include Darrin, Samantha, Endora, Maurice, Serena, Uncle Arthur, Aunt Clara, Esmeralda, Aunt Hagatha, Aunt Enchantra, Larry and Louise, Mr. and Mrs. Stephens, and of course Dr. Bombay and the Kravits', all in supporting or recurring roles. None would be left out. We would see them all once in awhile.

I've heard the suggestion (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/7813542-christina-applegate-people-magazine-s-most-beautiful-) that if Bewitched were made today (https://tvline.com/2014/10/22/bewitched-remake-nbc-pilot-details-samantha-granddaughter/), then Christina Applegate (https://uproxx.com/movies/christina-applegate-lost-roles/) would be a good choice (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/archive/index.php/t-248178.html) to play Samantha (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ad/dc/aa/addcaab5171460b66089e8e6c86bc3a4.jpg).

If you were really interested in making a successful Bewitched again you would do it EXACTLY like it was done originally. NO PC, no gay characters everywhere you turn, no lesbos, no libs, a lot of smoking, a lot of friendly women, husbands who are real husbands not mealy mouthed wuses, wives who support the masters of the house, the husband, of couse, for those of you who have been brainwashed over the years to have forgotten this.

If you really want a successful remake of the show do it EXACTLY like it was originally done.

Hire a good looking actor to play Darren. My biggest problem with the original show was that neither of the two Dicks were attractive. It made Sam's willingness to give up her witchy-ness to be an ordinary housewife unbelievable.

Nothing, in which the original version remains untouched

OH Nuts!

Trying to recreate something superb usually come across forced. Past Bewitched attempts haven’t impressed me at all. Just give me the original Aunt Clara and Dick York eps & I’m happy.
