View Full Version : Trying to remember a segment
Guardian 03-04-2019, 07:04 AM I have been scratching my head trying to remember a segment. Seems like I saw it once or twice way back when Lifetime was showing the Stack episodes. But I don’t believe they showed it very often.
It had to do with a missing boy that was eventually found murdered. The boy was quite young as I recall, maybe 5 at the most I think. He had been playing in his yard and was missing first (if I recall correctly) and then found shot to death. In the end, the case was solved and his father was the one who had killed him. I just can’t recall the names to look up the specifics. I believe the father may have been a cop, but I have not seen this segment in at least 10-15 years.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?
5thcorps 03-04-2019, 09:21 AM I believe you're thinking of Larry Gibson, a police officer who claimed his son was kidnapped from their yard. But after his own department pointed the finger at him the story fell apart. He was convicted of manslaughter and served only 3 years. Tommy Gibson's body has never been found.
Guardian 03-04-2019, 12:53 PM Yep, that’s the one. Thank you! Been quite a while since I’ve seen the segment so my memory was obviously a bit hazy on some details. Could have sworn they found the kids body, but I guess there is at least a slim chance he could still be alive somewhere, but sadly, it doesn’t sound like it.
Thanks for the info on the case though! Been trying to remember the names for a while now.
Fletch 03-04-2019, 02:18 PM Larry Gibson's demeanor in that segment makes my blood boil.
5thcorps 03-04-2019, 02:25 PM He's now up in Montana parading as a cowboy singer. SCUM

I’ve never been there, but isn’t that mandatory for all Montana residents?

I hope you're referring to the singing and not murdering children......
Nickolas086 03-04-2019, 05:28 PM I can't find the segment on Amazon Prime

On behalf of LooksLikeCRicci, myself, and anyone else on this board who lives in Montana, the answer is an emphatic no!
But if cowboy singing is what you're into, then by all means, you do you.

The singing of course. But I was only joking in any case

I was only joking. No offense intended. All jokes aside, I hear a lot about Montana that makes me think I would probably enjoy living there honestly.
Guardian 03-05-2019, 06:24 AM And to be fair, I’m from WA, so I shouldn’t be talking s**t about anyone’s home state as it is with as many serial killers as come from my own home state.
Chichester Crowe 03-05-2019, 01:18 PM No offense taken. Come check out Yellowstone and Glacier and you may never want to leave!
cdr369 03-06-2019, 01:34 PM I've always thought I would enjoy living in Montana.
