Lyft on the otherhand never offers anything unless you refer a friend. Uber is the way to go. The hell with Lyft

Uber and Lyft are becoming really popular out here in LA within the last few years! I've never taken them , but I know people who do , well Uber, I see LYFT around though but I really don't know anyone who takes LYFT? So they must be in agreement with you that Uber is better!! :);):wave:

I been taking UBER a lot because I am out on Medical leave from work and since I don't have a train pass right now when I go to the doctor I use uber. The train pass is $100 a month so since I won't return to work until 4/1, it's makes sense to catch Uber. When I am working I may catch uber to the mall to go clothes shopping or to get dinner from somewhere

Actually Uber now has a option for people in Wheelchairs called WAV and used in Philly, Chicago, New York and DC. It started in 2019

thanx Sol, but I take Septa CCT which only costs $4.25 (for most places):)

And for other places it's just 1-2 dollars more. And I can take it for free if my brother goes with me.

Actually though,they'd rather I take buses and trains and they say I can only take them if there's no curb cuts, uneven sidewalks etc. preventing me from getting to the bus or train. But I take them for free because I use a loophole that says if you go with someone else and say you're their attendant you can ride for free. (one of the drivers told me a lot of their customers do that).

We actually had a great experience riding Lyft while on vacation. We were in California and were trying to find a ride home from the airport. I started to panic because the only ride we could find wasn't guaranteed and they were going to charge us over $100. At the time I'd never heard of Lyft and when we mentioned our dilemma to the front desk receptionist at the hotel, he graciously showed us how to download Lyft onto my husband's phone and how to order a ride. We took our car down the street to the car rental place and the guy picked us up and took us to the airport. Cost us $30. So amazing. Granted that was the only time we'd ever used it and I haven't had to use them since but that was a wonderful experience.

I had good experiences with Lyft too plus they are cheaper than Uber but they just never any kind of promotion like Uber. That 30% of 10 rides has really helped me this week with going to the doctor and supermarket which was a total cost of $50.00. If I had used Lyft the cost would have been over $100 easily.

Wow that's crazy. We only tried them one time and had a good experience but if I needed to use them again I'd probably shop around to find the best deal. We were in kind of a bind.

I've used both. Athough Lyft tends to be cheaper, it isn't available in many countries outside the US, so I end up using Uber when I'm travelling outside the country. Uber also has way more drivers than Lyft, so it's usually easier to get a ride if you are outside a major metropolitan region!

Yeah usually when I catch Uber I can get a ride in 3 to 5 mins
