I realize her singing is dubbed in the sense that it was recorded elsewhere with an orchestra, but is that Sylvia Lewis' s voice, or was someone else dubbed in? It seems like she had a bit of a stage career and some youtube videos have a little singing, but her voice in this episode is so big that you'd think she'd have recorded 20 albums. I'm wondering if it wasn't someone fairly big, like Edye Gorme or Carol Lawrence.

i wrote sylvia and sent her this question. her 8/14/19 answer is below.
WOW….I knew that someone, sometime would ask that question. The answer is….we rehearsed "Cielito Lindo" in the beginning of the week….went into recording studio on Thursday evening to pre-record both my song and “The Doodlin’Song”. I spent hours the next morning listening to the pre-recorded track to be certain of my phrasing/breathing so I could match it on Friday for filming of the show.
YES…that was my voice and YES,,I had much voice training, appeared in many theater productions of Broadway shows plus originals…i.e. I played Anita in a production of Westside Story and was Naughty Nancy in the first WestCoast production of “Little Mary Sunshine” which ran for a year in LA. Singing roles all plus many others.
Somehow I earned a reputation as a dancer first in TV so it stuck, and I was never signed as a singing performer in TV or films. But in Theater…yes, for sure.
which I adored doing. Singing is much easier on the body : )
Thanks
