Following Sheridan's abrupt exit earlier this year, Gillies briefly took on the Alexis Carrington role.

Apparently, Elizabeth Gillies and Nicolette Sheridan HATED each other. Gillies' very dry sense of humor upset Sheridan during filming of the Season 1 finale. When they returned that summer for Season 2, Sheridan made sure that her screen-time with Gillies has kept on the minimum. Half-way through Season 2, the producers got fed up with trying to write around the Sheridan's demands so they fired her. Giles and the writers decided to stick the knife into Sheridan by making Giles play a version of her character even mimicking her mannerisms.
