The thread about frank and ken talking about Larry getting the boot made me think of other shows where the demands were not met.

The first Colleen in Dr. Quinn got the boot because her dad wanted more money.

The Brady Bunch ended because all the kids wanted more money.

What others are there?

Jeremy Gelbwaks got the boot from the Partridge Family after season 1. Supposedly he didn't get along with anyone in the cast, particularly Danny Bonaduce.

Interesting about the Bradys...never knew about all the kids demanding more money. Maybe their managers got together and decided to make the demand.

Also didn’t Robert Reed want out and do Shakespeare?

I hadn't heard that. I did hear he complained about his lines. One of the most amazing things was him not being in the final episode, to see his TV son graduate from high school (he's "out of town".) I think I read he ditched the episode because of the script.

That is too funny. I can certainly understand why Reed wanted away from the show. He had countless disagreements with Schwartz about his lines. Florence knew he was unhappy right from the start. I thought the Hawaiian vacation was so hokey but got a kick out of Peter who got some recognition in the last 10 years even if it was an infomercial about growing hair.

The guy that played Curt, Maryellen's husband on the Waltons wanted more money so they killed him at Pearl Harbor.

Probably the hokiest part of the Hawaiian vacation was the boys going to that cave and being held by the kooky Vincent Price.

The other vacation to the Grand Canyon, with all the location shooting, was better. In that one being held in jail in a ghost town, by Thurston Howell, was slightly hokey, also.

I think I've seen Christopher Knight in the hair club (or whatever it is) commercial. From Brady to Balding.
