I finally started watching Chico And The Man a couple of days ago after I got season 1 in a trade. I was hooked after the pilot. Especially with the hubcap scenes. I was in stitches after the guy came back the second time. I'm glad that I ended up giving the show a chance. So far I watched the first 12 episodes of it. I've got to point that they got the loan and bought inventory for the garage.

Still odd this series is not complete on DVD after all these years

That may have something to do with the way Freddie Prinze Sr. left us. Otherwise I can't think of anything else besides rights being tied up between studios.

Probably because new generations of fans will want to know where is chico after season 3. Plus the show didnt have enough eps for syndication which was only 88

The site seems to not have completely died and is up to date with social media. Plus there are some new members on the 70's board so that helps me stay connected to the site.

Honestly, seeing as TVLand aired Chico and the Man on their lineup years ago and has a complete series marathon, I don't think it has to do with Freddie Prinze but moreso with the distributor not willing to license it out for syndication or DVD sales. Maybe they'll eventually offer it for syndication one day.

Why would they not wanna license it?
