Is it possible to have a single thread in 2 or more forums at once?
For example, when a big celebrity dies there is usually a remembrance thread on the General board and their specific sitcom board. Would it be possible to have the same thread show up in both places so you don't have to type the same thing again?
Just a thought

Are you saying that you'd like to post the same message in 2 or more boards at the same time? If it is then I don't think that's possible. If you start a thread in one forum just copy and paste your message in the next to avoid typing it again. If I have misunderstood you then I apologize.

I mean having only one thread, with one thread ID, but it can be accessed on two different forums.
The reason I came up with this is because sometimes there are threads with identical content that are posted more than once simply because they apply to more than one forum.
This might be beyond the power of the software but I thought it could help with housekeeping and reducing clutter.

Like maybe posting a thread on one board which will be its "official" home but having the option of linking it from other forums.

Ok, I see what you mean now.

Don't post when you are cross! :D
This would be a useful feature, but it's not something that is built into the software. I'm not sure if the code can modified to get this to work. Admins and moderators can copy threads from board to board, but there are no options to turn this on for regular registered members.

"Cross posting" is frowned upon on many sites........
I noticed Pavan has the same post tonight on 3 different boards all time stamped 11:59 pm. So either he knows how to do it, or he’s just really quick.
