I'm just curious to know if there's going to be one, because I would really like to see a mobile theme.

Thank you.

Which vBulletin version are they running? They don't have it listed on their main forum page. Where did they get it? You are going to lose a lot of the options and functionality with a mobile theme.

If it's something free or inexpensive, we can look into it.

How does a fixed width theme like this look on a phone? I don't own a cellphone with the internet, so I'm not sure how it looks.

This site is still less friendly to smartphones. I find the zooming in and out the message boards annoying. Can anybody afford upgrading vbulletin to version 5 with the Mobile Suite?

Can anybody afford upgrading vbulletin to version 5 with the Mobile Suite?TJ should not have to do an expensive upgrade that is not needed. SO works fine on computers, and anything catered to phone users might make it less friendly to computers.

Look at the market share from 2009 to 2020 in North America: https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/all/north-america/#monthly-200901-202009

The Windows share went down from 91.8% in 2009 to 34.3% in 2020. Meanwhile, mobile OSes combined have surpassed the desktop/laptop market share.

If European users are also important, the Windows market share also declined over the years: https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/all/europe/#monthly-200901-202009

Tiny phones suck for using any site. Computers are much better.

Ahh... Making general comments (if not arguments) about smartphones without examples, eh? These "tiny phones" are more convenient and easier to many people for quick browsing and social media communications. Furthermore, these "tiny phones" can be connected to a compatible bluetooth keyboard, one of which I'm using right now. BTW, I am using an iPad by the time I'm writing this.

Whether you think phones are convenient or not, an expensive upgrade for this site is not needed. It is working fine as is, and I bet on this site the majority of its users also prefer computers.

I think that the forum is just fine without a mobile theme.

I do find using my laptop better because it’s easier to see the screen, but I don’t mind using my phone either.

Yup. Pretty easy.

(Not saying it’s my favorite, because it relies on a cell signal. But if the signal is strong, then no problem).

I access this site using my desktop computer but the computer is currently not working so I won't be posting much on this site, maybe not at all until I can get the computer repaired. I'm posting this comment from a computer at the local library.

My computer has been repaired so I'm posting from home again. I removed my avatar, at first I was going to change it then decided to just not have an avatar. Not much else to say now but I'll post on the message boards if I'm motivated to comment about something. :talk:

Thank you Dude111, thankfully it wasn't an expensive repair and only cost 40 dollars. The computer is 15 years old so I've gotten a lot of use from it, hopefully it will continue to run for a few years more.

I was wondering what happened to your Bonnie Franklin avatar.

Yeah I just decided to go without an avatar for the time being. I still like Bonnie Franklin, she's so cute looking in those early seasons of One Day At A Time when she had the longer hairstyle. :eyes:

That’s fine, and I understand the reason why.
