If anyone here if from Colorado, did any of you hear about the wildfires in Glenwood Springs? They've been out of control and they've been burning since last Thursay or Friday. And Glenwood Springs is just 100 miles Northeast of me. The bad thing is that my relatives were supposed to take AmTrank to get out here, but the trains have been cancelled and won't go far past Denver. I just hope they stop soon and not end up lik ethe Los Alamos fires of New Mexico.

I saw the post and immediately I thought, "ooh! ooh, Chris lives in Colorado!!" ....but, um... yeah....

But, wow, that's pretty scary about the fires! We've been having fires here lately, too...

I went there in May...it seemed pretty dry..is it always dry there?

Thats freaky. my camp that i was gonna go to got cancelled cuz there were fires there all the time....

I'm from Nebraska but I've heard about those fires and that's terrible. I heard it started from coals that are way down in the ground and they have been smoldering for years.

Not really. The thing is that it's been a really dry year, and no rain at all, at least in my neck of the woods. But yea, I have to watch the news because they are scary. I wonder how much of the west heard about it, since you iN Nebraska did. Probably a pretty good portion I'm guessing.

Well..........here's an update. The fires are getting worse and are spreading around SW Denver. About 3,000 people from Glenwood Springs have been evacuated out of their homes (And the population is about 6,000 so half the city) and as many as 40,000 people have been evacuated from Denver. The govener is expecting 100,000 (1/4 of Dnver, the population is 400,000) total people evacuated from Denver by tomorrow. Boy is this a sad day or what.
