I noticed a Mrs. Harris as one of the donators not Harrison. How come June didn’t go collect late morning for the community chest or the next day so she could go to the open house. They made out like it had to be done ASAP.

I always wondered why Ward had to do all the dirty work of calling all the people who donated money and telling them about the found money. He sends Beaver out to ask what they gave so Ward can pay it back and they give again. Then Ward, not June, has to spend his evening (in a suit) calling them to see if they want their money back. Where did the list come from as Beaver didn’t ask their name just how much they gave. I thought calling each one after the money was found was June’s job.

If that happened today no one would return the money and the neighbors would have not given Beaver anymore.

Yeah, there was some flawed writing in this episode. Beaver definitely didn't know the wet guy, so how could Ward have called him? (Beaver said he donated the 2nd time around because he was dry.)

I liked the way they wrote the scene with lady with the cake, as she pulled Beaver in, he pulled Gilbert in. Seemed like the boys probably knew her. And maybe they knew the old lady.

I also liked the Gilbert line when he said he didn't all the time know when Beaver's pocket was jingling. But I doubt any kid would try to stuff a collection can in a pocket.

That was really dumb pushing a can in your back pocket. He probably had never had that much money before except the green bulging wallet so why not be super careful. He must have known he wasn’t in possession of the money after getting up. Of course they needed him to lose the money and that was the best way. I think it would have been more natural if he put the can down in the soda fountain when he paid for ice cream.

Right, that would have made much more sense. They could have even had that canned "uh-oh" that's used on the laugh track once in awhile.
