“It’s always a bummer when your young son kills you and drains your blood,” Mädchen Amick says. “It’s rude, really.”
Sadly, that was the fate of her AHS: Hotel character Mrs. Ellison, who only lasted three episodes in 2015.
“One thing I’ve learned about myself — and my family continues to razz me about it — is that I’m terrible at dying,” she says. “I don’t know what to draw from. I just can’t do it. I’m envious of actors that can die well, because it’s an art.”
Fortunately, "American Horror Story" didn’t require Amick to perform a full death scene. “I just had to lay there and be dead, which was much easier.”
