yea..uh...I hope that worked....anyway, that's a link to a petition for nick not to show a segment on Nick news about homosexuality...I figured it kinda belonged here...since a lot of us hate N@N...anyway...I kinda laughed when I first saw it, cause it's just a STINKING PETITION!!! but...a LOT of people have signed it! like 114, 897...or something like that...as of just a few minutes ago...I still dont' think they'll listen..but...I figured, what the heck...so I signed it...I put the wrong zip code on my address...but i signed it...if this shouldn't be here...you could move you, TJ....

Anyway..oooo!!!!!!! Something that I KNOW goes here...the other day...TVLand called me...I was like, *sarcasm* "o, I'm so excited..." anyway, they told me they would be airing 4-5 episodes of FOL from 3-5 P.M. P.N. on July 7th...I'm going...DUH!!!!!!!! And I already know which episodes, which they didn't tell me...I'm like, *sarcasm*" oh well they're on top of things!" So...yea..just thought I'd share...haha...they prolly called cause I've been calling and bugging them so much....hahahahahaahahahahaha!

just my opinion, but i think the petition is silly....I don't see why they shouldn't have a segment about them on Nick News...

Thanks, Lizzie, for posting that. I signed two of them. I doubt that it will go anywhere, seeing that Nickelodeon won't listen to anyone, but at least they know. Why SHOULD Nickelbag-Odeon
be a platform for gay rights? Kids just want to watch Rugrats, and WE JUST WANT OUR STINKIN' FACTS OF LIFE!!!!!! MORE TOOTIE!!!! LESS ROSIE!!!!!!

I heard on the Howard Stern show Rosie O'Donnell isn't really the wonderful person she claims to be. I'll believe it.

Now what a nice Christian like me is doing listening to Howard Stern, well..............

I'm not against gays. I have my questions. I'm still looking into the issues, but I have more of a problem more with the issue of Nickelbag-Odeon pushing political correctness where it doesn't belong.

Guys, please don't sign the petition just because you hate Nick at Nite. The news program really doesn't have anything to so with the Nick at Nite programs. Besides, this is an important issue and there is no reason the the news program shouldn't be aired. Just my two cents...

What gives Nickelodeon the right to discuss any type of sexuality with children? This is not a gay rights issue. Homosexual and heterosexual relationships are something parents should teach their children about when they feel it is appropriate. It is up to a family to decide what their own values are, and then to teach those values to their children. It is not up to a children's television network to discuss any type of sexuality with children!

I wasn't sure...but then...I look at people like the ones who live down the street from me...who don't teach their children anything...except pain...but anyway...whatever their kids learn, they learn in church and in school...thank you lord that they come to church...but anyway...I look at people like that and I think...what would happen if kids like that LEARNED from THAT show on Nick? I mean...what if they thought that was the only option?I don't know...maybe I'm reading too far into it, but, couldn't Nick be destroying lives, by doing this?! I mean...like, the kids who live down the street from me...what if, they learned from that, and thought it was perfetly fine for them to live that way, and perfectly normal...or..that it was the only way...think of what that could do to them...think of how their future could change by watching that one tv show...Should Nick really be able to do that? Do they WANT to be able to do that?

On the petition thingy..I mean most kids probably already know about gay people considering what kids talk about at school. And with younger children, they usually don't watch Nick News. Most kids only know about the anti-gay thing..maybe the News thing will show it from a half/half standpoint..besides they will be presenting the opinions of kids on if it is right or not, meaning that those opinions probably haev been voiced before at school. Just my $0.02

Yeah, I mean, the kids that usually watch Nick News arent 6 year olds, there usually kids who already probably know about this stuff. Also, I just dont think homosexuality is wrong, they can't change who they are. I like the opposite sex, if someone was mean towards me or desriminated against me for that, I think that would be wrong, (which I don't know any cases of people being descriminated against for liking the opposite sex ;)) but it does for homosexuals, and that's just as wrong. Kids know all about this kind of stuff, so why not? :D Just my take on it.

I think that it's stupid to try and limit what the station can and cant report on in the news. Have none of these people heard of freedom of speech, or the press? Anyways...I do think that kids need to know about things like that, because it will cut down on all of the prejudice towards gays and lesbians.

i signed it because i think it is up to the parents to talk to their children about homosexuality the tv should not do that. i am sorry if my opinion gets some one mad but that is my opinion.

you are right people need to know about it but i it should be the parents who talks to their children about it not the tv. if i had any children i would not like it if they learned about gays and lesbians from someone other than my self or there father. i dont mean to start an arguement but that is my opinion just like it is yours that the tv should be able to teach our children about subjets like homosexuals so please dont get upset at my.

Right! that's what I'm saying also...
I mean...kids learn about that kind of thing too young anyway...maybe they do talk about it at school, but...they shouldn't..I mean OMG...I found out about some things...WAY TOO EARLY and I wish i hadn't...I hate public schools...why can't everyone homeschool their children and teach them to entertain themselves like my parents did?! (except for the home school part...)

It SHOULD be left up to parents, bacause, Rosie and her ilk use
propaganda to sell the gay rights agenda. Because after all, she IS Rosie O'Donnell. We should take her unquestioningly at her word....
