Mrs. Garrett is referring to her past work as a housekeeper for Mr. Drummond and his kids on the TV show "Diff'rent Strokes", before they moved her character Mrs. Garrett to this new show "The Facts of Life". Now, when she talks about wanting to see the world and she did, "The world was great", I'm not sure what that really means, because she didn't travel around the world on DS. Maybe she meant Mr. Drummon's wealthy lifestyle and penthouse were a new world? Or maybe she did do a little traveling after all? (I'm sure Mr. Drummond paid her very well). Then she went to help Kimberly once with school play costumes at Eastland, but she ended up staying there as housemother in the dorm we see in season 1 (this starts in a "Diff'rent Strokes" episode called "The Girls' School" from season 1). And then she became the school dietitian at Eastland, and her last remark is a joke about how the girls like junk food better than healthy food, lol. I'm sure you know a lot of that already, as you've seen seasons 1 and 2 of FOL, but I hope this helps! FOL-FAN-ITA 02-03-2019, 06:24 AM Sure!
