Plata 06-08-2002, 07:42 PM I never had a penpal over the internet, but I had a penpal who lived in Williston back in 5th grade who I wrote to. Then, once 6th grade came along and then 7th and I had more work to do in school, we just kind of lost touch. My mom has a penpal over the internet and she gets along with her fine. Although, a little bit before they had a fight, and didn't talk to each other for awhile, but are now friends again. I guess it could be both a good and bad experience, but I think having pen pals is kind of fun because you can write to each other and I think it's cool to communicate with someone from someplace else in the world than where you're from. The main reason I have the internet is so I can communicate with people without having to write or call. I don't really like to write and people have a hard time reading my handwriting anyway. Writing letters can get quite expensive too espacially with the price of stamps going up in the next few weeks. |
