Robert and Michelle King's CBS All Access Good Wife spinoff has best reflected the current political environment. So to stay on top of things when Season 3 kicks off on March 14, their writers have developed a few contingency plans in case there are major developments in the Trump presidency, including impeachment. “We have a few backup plans if the world runs ahead of us, involving two or three scenes we would have to reshoot,” said Robert King at the TV press tour. “What you try to do is stay as close to the zeitgeist as possible, but it’s very difficult if you’re writing that far ahead. I think what we’re trying to do is use certain scenes to help update the audience to where we are right now.”
