"The Big Bang Theory" Books William Shatner for "Epic" Dungeons & Dragons Battle

"The Big Bang Theory" has finally found a role worthy of Star Trek‘s Captain Kirk. CBS on Wednesday announced that William Shatner is set to guest-star in an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons-themed episode.

In addition to Shatner, the episode will also feature director Kevin Smith, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, "True Blood" vet Joe Manganiello and the return of Sheldon’s former nemesis Wil Wheaton.

An airdate has not yet been announced.

Shatner famously turned down the hit CBS sitcom years ago. "So we reached out to him again,” says showrunner Steve Holland. “I got on the phone and chatted with him about what we were thinking about for the episode — at that point we didn’t have a script — but I think he felt like he wanted to be a part of this before it came to an end."

I love the series but this episode was a real clunker, there wasn't a laugh to be found.

Yeah, I hated the episode.

This season I’m not finding Amy, Penny, or Bernadette charming like I used to. They seem to enjoy making their husbands feel miserable.
