1940s- I haven't seen anything from this decade, that obviously wouldn't have much selection overall.
1950s
Gold Medal: I Love Lucy/The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour
Silver Medal: Bachelor Father
Bronze Medal: The Jack Benny Program- Yes I consider this a sitcom that deserves its own board, here at SO in the 50s section.

2010s
Gold Medal: The Middle
Silver Medal: The Kids Are Alright- A lot of posters here don't like current sitcoms, which I would agree the decades from the 1900s are a lot stronger overall. However, this is a show I think classics only fans could like, I consider TKAA the next Wonder Years. It airs Tuesdays at 8:30 eastern on ABC.
Bronze Medal: very close between Speechless and Young Sheldon

1950s:
I Love Lucy
Leave it to Beaver
The Honeymooners
1960s:
The Andy Griffith Show
Mister Ed
I Dream of Jeannie
I could list a ton more from this era, but these are my faves (well, today at least).
1970s:
Happy Days the first two season are the best, but it was pretty good until Richie left. Funny, that the only comedy from the 70s I like is actually about a different era.
1980s:
Mama's Family
Designing Women
Cheers
1990s (the best era for TV comedy)
Seinfeld
Friends
Frasier
There are a ton more from the 90s that I love. We didn't know how good we had it because this was the best era of sitcoms.
2000s
Everybody Loves Raymond
Becker
King of Queens: I liked this show, but always thought it could have been better. Jerry Stiller is best in small doses and too often the show felt like a parody of itself.
2010s (really bad era for comedy)
The Big Bang Theory: This should probably go in the 2000s because the pre-Amy years were hilarious. It hasn't been very good in at least 3 or 4 seasons.
Young Sheldon: It's better than it's parent show is now.
Last Man Standing: I don't love it, but seasons 2, 3, and 4 were pretty good and you said I had to name 3! ;)

1950's:
1. Leave It To Beaver
2. Amos N Andy
3. Honeymooners classic 39
There are way too many sitcoms from the 1960's that I like, too difficult for me to choose a top 3. But I'll give a thumbs up to the poster who chose The Joey Bishop Show as #1. Good choice. :)
1970's:
1. Brady Bunch
2. One Day At A Time
3. Three's Company
The 1970's is as far as I'll go because I don't watch sitcoms from the 1980's and forward.
