The actual picture scene looks to have taken place on location, rather than a soundstage. Near the end of the scene we actually see the entrance of the Grant Avenue School. This suggests there is (or was) an actual building with this name. If so, I wonder where it is/was.

Did you notice the actual picture is totally different from how it was taken. When the picture is actually taken there’s a boy right between Gilbert and Beaver behind them. But the actual picture shows that boy way to the right. Also Beaver’s tongue is shown when he makes the face but when you look at the picture there’s no tongue.

I took quick notice of that at the end. It was like, hmm...that doesn't look like the pose looked. Maybe Mr. Baxter changed more than the hair ribbon!
Also who was that girl next to Beaver, the one he kept moving away from? That wasn't Myrtle Jarvis, was it? No, she was in front of him. Maybe she was the elusive Angela Valentine.

She was the one who made Martha Washington out of a wetsy doll. Forget her name. I thought Beaver said Myrtle stopped wearing ribbons because she was called whirlybird.

Every time they show this episode I'm still curious about the location of the real Grant Avenue Grammar School. As I said in the first post when they pose on the steps the school sign is in the background. All we ever see in other episodes is the close up of that sign, but they appear to be on location in School Picture.
Of course, in the last nearly 60 years this school may have been torn down. If you asked Jerry this question, he'd probably give the wrong answer, even though he was there.
