Since there's a page on liking winter...I decided to have one for disliking winter...here's my three reasons...

1-Shoveling the snow
2-Cold Temperatures
3-cabin Fever

I can't stand winter...

Since I live in a sub-mediterranean area and the winters here are very mild. But the three things I dislike about winter:

1. Driving in the rain. January thru March is our rainy season, and people cannot drive " worth a darn" when it is raining in my part of the country. It is especially treacherous when traveling on our local freeways.

2. It becomes dark before 5 PM. I love it when we still have daylight at 8 in the evening.

3. Most of the outdoor concert venues are closed till the middle of spring.

The cold temperatures.
Higher electricity bills since the furnace runs more in the winter.
Having to wash the road salt off the car while it's still cold out.

Dreary weather - I get kinda moody/down in the dumps with the constant cloudy and dreary weather

Cold temperatures - Around were I live Temps can fall into the 10s. And wind chill and its even colder.

Lack of Sun - Go weeks on end with little to no sunlight and it makes me kinda depressed.

Me too!! I can't take the real hot summers anymore!!:p

I can only think of one reason I don't like Winter than, if we get very heavy rain for too many days it get's dreary and boring and unsafe to drive but I do like some rain, and I like cold weather , it makes it so cozy inside the house!! :)
