Any fans out there know how to reach Susan Harris? I am not sure what she is up to today and I have been trying to find out where I can write her at. I have a Spec Script that is almost complete, Titled "A Golden Reunion" and it is very good indeed. I am well aware of my chances of anything happening to it (I have been writing for years and know fully the chances are alim to none). However, I am thinking of perhaps getting my own website and posting the script online. Would anyone check it out?

I also know that while Rue,Betty, and Estelle have always been up for a reunion, it has been Miss Arthur who is not (she has her reasons)......
I wish I could share more of the plot with you. It is realistic and reminisant of the humor from the original, while also straying from being outdated in the same.

But just out of curiosity, what vision do you all have of where the "girls" would be right now in life?;)

Well, first I guess is that a reunion is not going to happen. Like the Facts of Life reunion last fall, it would be OK, but it wouldn't be great. It would need to be all four women, because each had a specific role (sexpot, educated, silly, wise). Plus, sitcom reunions turn into mini-movies, without the laughs from the audience and such.

Also, Bea Arthur isn't the only holdout -- but not willingly. Estelle Getty is in very poor health with a Parkinson's-like disease that has put her into limited movement and requiring constant care. It's a sad situation, because she was so vibrant and fun in her television career.

HOWEVER... if there would be a reunion...

Sophia would have to be celebrating her 100th birthday. She would be living back at the new Shady Pines, resting comfortably in the Florida sun and spending her days listening to Pavoratti and watching the big-screen TV she always wanted.

Rose had returned to St. Olaf, where she lives on a small farm that her granddaughter Charlie owns. Rose is the cook, making her famous hometown dishes (bahklecervanan), handing out tidbits of knowledge to the family, and caring for injured farm animals.

Blanche is still not remarried... but still a swinging single. Now a "fading beauty," she feels as though she has lost her sex appeal. She is still a regular at the "Rusty Anchor," and she occasionally does roles in local theater (playing the head nun in "Nunsense"). Her daughter Becky and granddaughter Arora live in West Palm Beach, so she frequently spends time with the teenager, teaching her about boys.

And Dorothy... well, Lucas has passed away, and she now resides over Hollingsworth Manor. Because of all the money she inherited, she is able to fly down to see Sophia every week, and have lunch with Blanche. She sings in a small cabaret outside Atlanta, churning out Gershwin and Cole Porter twice a week.

In the reunion, Rose decides to return to Florida for a warm winter. She calls Blanche and tells her she is coming to celebrate Sophia's birthday, but she also wants to reconsider living in the south...

OK, I just realized that came out in 5 minutes... I'm going to leave it at that, because I can't do the whole thing justice...
