Ever since it made it's debut on PBS in the 90's as an American remake of the British show of the same name I have noticed that Antiques Roadshow has gone downhill and I would like to know if anyone has noticed this? Because when it first started out Antiques Roadshow was a simple show where people would bring their antiques and collectibles and talk and learn more about their antiques but ever since Lara Spencer left the show and got replaced by Mark L. Walberg it seems that Antiques Roadshow is focusing less on antiques and is focusing on other topics on collecting. Is this because Antiques Roadshow is changing it's image to attract new fans to the show? Take for instance I've noticed that especially in their current season Antiques Roadshow has started showing themed episodes with titles such as "Antiques Roadshow Takes A Peek at Presidental History" or Grandma's Attic Treasures" and what it seems is that PBS is spending a lot of money on Antiques Roadshow this season because they are desperate for high ratings. Another thing I noticed about Antiques Roadshow is that ever since Mark L. Walberg started to host it is you never see Mark anywhere else throughout the show and he only appears at the intro and occasional short segments and the Feedback Booth at the end and Antiques Roadshow should have Mark L. Walberg do more on the show because he's the star and when I see this I think Mark L. Walberg is thinking that PBS might make him quit and do another show if PBS don't let him do more on Antiques Roadshow
I think Antiques Roadshow needs to be improved and have Mark around more to talk about antiques and not just in little segments

Like much of the audience, I watched it for a long time but eventually you get tired of it. By the nature of the show, it's repetitive.

Another thing I've noticed about Antiques Roadshow is that they have started to copy the original British version and have started to film it outdoors and it seems that Antiques Roadshow wants to adopt a new image this season. Even the theme music of Antiques Roadshow has changed to a more elegant theme and sounds like music you hear at an English tea party. I remember when Antiques Roadshow started out the theme song you'd hear was always happy and upbeat and sounded like New Orleans jazz. But if Antiques Roadshow continues this image I doubt PBS will cancel it due to low ratings this season
