I was wondering if the set is worth buying. Generally I avoid Sony releases as they're notoriously bad. But as a Sanford and Son fan it makes me flip flop. I just wanted to get input from people who did buy it.

Did they have to do music replacement or cut certain things out? Are any episodes edited to the point it's not worth it? Any left out episodes like they did with the MOD Grady series

Problem with Sony release is that Season one, two and three DVDs don't have "play all episode" option in the menu. One have to manually choose each episode on the disc to be played.

I owned all individual season on DVD and as far as I can tell they are uncut. The box set seem to be all seasons in one package without any alterations or added feature (17 discs total).

I am hoping Mill Creek get licensing from Sony to reprint DVDs in the slimmer packaging with 11 or 12 total discs vs 17 discs from Sony. And include "play all' option for earlier seasons.

I appreciate the response and breakdown of the set. I was always on the fence about buying it. Simply because I heard that most Sony TV show releases are horrid. I refuse to buy anymore Sony DVD releases after us fans were ripped off years later and they decided to do a complete series release:mad:
