I too was amused by the "Fats" scene.

Also the scene with Beaver making up improbable lies to (in this case) Miss Canfield was good, and I agree, Mathers really carried it off well. These lying scenes are repeated later a few times, with Miss Landers, with stories of mom with pneumonia (not the dyin' kind), things being against their religion, etc.

Absolutely wonderful. I just adore the show; vintage nostalgia at it’s very best. I really appreciate your dedication and hard work, magellan333 . I really must re-watch some of these eps, but it’s not easy with a mountain of chores to do.

Yes, very well written. I’ve seen each episode so often as I’m reading I am picturing the scene. I also found the way Ward says ‘Fats’ hilarious. Ward was so laid back in the early days, sitting at the dinner table with his shirt sleeves rolled up, flirting with June and showing his disappointment when Beaver doesn’t fight back. Great blog!!
