But recently, the commercials seem a bit different. If you've noticed lately, the commercials have been heavily featuring Gary Cole as a corrupt cop father. And the scenes used in the commercials lean heavily into his cop status.

Well the second episode did feature a lot more Gary Cole than the pilot did for sure. I did notice the new ads are more focused on him than the original ones did. Honestly it's got me thinking that maybe the new show runner is retooling the series to focus more on the Fred character.
